Thursday May 2nd – 1 Day Wild Law Workshop, Sydney

AELA hosted a Wild Law Workshop in Sydney on Thursday May 2nd, at the University of Sydney, Quadrangle Building, Professorial Board Room, from 9am to 5pm.

The purpose of the workshop was to explore the meaning and relevance of Wild Law and Earth Jurisprudence in New South Wales.

The workshop included the following topics:

  • Introduction to elements of Earth Jurisprudence, including Rights of Nature and a critique of Property Law
  • Cross cultural and indigenous perspectives of Earth Laws
  • Earth centred perspectives of water, coal seam gas and ‘alternative’ economics
  • Wild Law and Animal Law
