PROTECTING OUR EVOLUTIONARY COMPANIONS - DO OUR LAWS MEASURE UP?
Exploring the intersections and differences between Earth jurisprudence, environmental law and animal law
AELA and Voiceless co-hosted a fascinating series of free half-day seminar with Voiceless in Sydney, Brisbane and Hobart.
The seminar series aimed to bring together academics, activists, legal practitioners, students and regulators, to explore the diversity of laws and legal frameworks aimed at protecting the animals that live with us on this amazing continent. Each seminar provided three or four talks addressing Earth Jurisprudence, environmental law and animal law - and then provide time for discussion, to explore the challenges our legal system must face if we are to protect and nurture all animals within our community of life.
